ACOG General Chat / Crossout
« on: March 06, 2018, 11:57:22 PM »
Interesting free game called Crossout is on the PS store. It's a cross between Carmageddon (GTA1 era) and Mad Max.
Drive your vehicle around to take out the enemy vehicles either by ramming them or shooting with your onboard guns. It's an out and out destruction derby. No point hiding for a sniper position, just get in there and run & gun (but on wheels). You get more points the more damage you do and this earns towards your codriver and vehicle level. Earn more points to join different factions where different upgrades can be built for your car. You can customize you car from bits your have made or collected on the way, but I find this a bit tricky.

Also tricky is the driving/steering controls. Although there are 2 modes on control, I've only tried the "racer" setting (for those familiar with driving games).Left stick is to drive and right stick is for camera, but you need ot manipulate the camera to aim your gun. Means you are driving one way and shooting another, but not as natural as in FPS games (by the way this is 3rd person only).

Each game only lasts about 1 to 2 mins, but it's only 20 secs pause between games.

Worth a look for free if you like shoot em ups, driving games, and or general carnage

Does anybody use these and do they really help with accuracy. Not really bothered about added comfort but an increase in accuracy would certainly come in handy. But with size of them they donít look like they would affect things much.

Is this something I should be asking Santa for?

ACOG General Chat / JC is DJing For Oxjam, live on the internet
« on: October 20, 2016, 12:08:01 AM »

Hi All,
Since my last post on this subject, the Mixify site shut down and all memberships were transferred to Chew.TV, which is where I've been hanging out since.

In case you have heard of it Oxjam is a month long music festival organised by Oxfam to raise money and awareness for their charities. On Friday 28th October from 8-10pm I'll be DJing live on Chew.TV as part of the weekend-long Oxjam festival that the Chain Reaction crew are putting on. Charity donations are optional, but your support would be much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to this one as I reckon I have some cracking house tunes to play.

Since it's a Friday I expect most of you will be gaming, so if you can't make it on the night, as with all shows on Chew.TV it will be available to re-watch & listen from my Chew page.

For anyone that's really interested you can always "like" (or is it "follow"?) my DJ page on Facebook which means you should get notified of future events I post up.
